Dramatic overheard lights take centre stage in these gorgeous dining rooms.
While beautiful tables and stylish chairs are among the great features in dining rooms, these stunning chandeliers cannot be ignored. Whether it’s a pair of chandeliers made out of oyster shells or a sea of paper lanterns, these light fixtures steal the show.
A collection of paper lanterns over the dining table evokes clouds in the sky and adds a whimsical touch to this room. “The room has such formal bones that I wanted to tone it down a bit and make it more casual and fun for a family with so many kids,” designer Chloe Warner says.
This dining room features stained-glass door panes, chairs upholstered in an orange-and-red patterned fabric to complement the geometric rug, and a sculptural chandelier fabricated by an artisan in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
A rainbow of colourful pendant lights and equally colourful cords look striking against the whitewashed backdrop in this beach-inspired dining room.
The team at Reaume Construction and Design created this dining room; the space features a birch-like wall covering and a stunning Venetian glass chandelier from Susanne Hollis.
This dining room features a rustic wood dining table, custom chairs and a pair of oyster shell chandeliers. Designer John McClain describes the space as an “homage to the gorgeous natural elements outside.”
A geometric smoked-glass chandelier by Bec Brittain makes a bold statement beneath the flat-black ceiling in this Los Angeles dining room. “I had to find something that balanced well with the kitchen pendants,” designer Caitlin Murray says.
