1. Organic Meets Modern

Is it the striped West Elm chair, the cheeky patterned horns or the slick organizational accessories amidst chic colour blocking that we’re crushing on most? Very hard to tell. 2. Elevated Office

It’s harder to see in the photo, but this accent wall is decked out in a gold-flecked wallpaper, which brings a simple workstation to the next level. 3. Natural Elegance

A jog in the wall gave designer Anna Dhillon an opportunity to design a standout home office space. She outfitted the niche—already lined with gorgeous stone tiles—with a custom stained oak to create a modern secretary’s desk, complete with floating shelves. 4. Garden View

A view so good it might be hard to get any real work done. This serene spot benefits from oversized windows and strategically placed skylights that fill the whole room with light, even on those rainy Vancouver days. 5. Personal Space

6. Form and Function

A work area away from the TV was a priority for the Vancouver condo owners in this New York-inspired space. We love this sleek Homework desk from Bensen, and the Danish rail shelves are actually the same ones the Falken Reynolds designers have in their own office—treasured for their industrial look and how easily they can be taken down and installed elsewhere.(Photo: David Strongman.) 7. Stow Aways

Storage was high on the homeowner’s wish list, so designer Sophie Burke and her team built a custom desk area surrounded by cabinets. A stack of wooden boxes from Ikea tucks beneath the built-in desk, creating even more space to stash odds and ends. 8. Lemon into Lemonade

Designer Ami McKay made fast work of this unused stairwell area by installing a desktop and plenty of cabinets to store supplies and files. And we love how this new workspace is right in the centre of the action—perfect for keeping an eye on the young ones.
