The designer's post-and-beam homes are celebrated part of the North Shore's midcentury modern design history.
If you’re a fan of West Coast modern designer, Bob Lewis is likely already on your radar. The designer/builder was well known for his post-and-beam designs on the North Shore, particularly in North Vancouver. And longtime readers of Western Living will remember Negar Ghorashi’s gorgeous restoration of one of his 1959 homes from our April 2018 issue.
There’s one of his designs about to come on the market—this Friday, September 23, with West Coast Modern realtors, the firm that specializes in both celebrating an protecting Cascadian architecture, both historic and present-day (amongst the Ron Thom and Bob Lewis listings you’ll spot one designed by WL favourite D’Arcy Jones Architect.)
This home, Rancher House, was originally commissioned by the Wick family in 1958, and restored over the last decade by its current owners. It still features its original vintage Cado wall systems, old-growth fir beams and a plaster central fireplace.
Get a sneak peek of the lovely update to the home in the photos below, before it’s listed tomorrow.
