All proceeds go to For the Love of Africa Society to build a trade school in Tanzania.Victoria International Buskers Festival: July 17 – 26Professional street performers from all around the world, as well as the local region, will come together for free daily shows of flame throwers, acrobats, magicians, juggles, and more.Rock the Shores: July 18 &19Located in the lower fields of the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre, this festival will be headlined by The Black Keys and Jane’s Addition. Art and Wine Festival at the Fort: July 26Take the day off and stroll through display tents featuring local artists and wineries, their best vintage wines, and beautiful canvases or pottery pieces.Colwood Rotary Art & Wine Festival: July 26Enjoy the day at the historic Fort Rodd Hill & Fisgard Lighthouse with over 30 local artists, a sample of Vancouver Island wineries, and talented performers.

Dancing on the Edge: July 2 – 11An exciting line up of contemporary dancers from Vancouver and across Canada have come together for the 27th annual festival, featuring over 30 different choreographies from more than 70 dance artists.Khatsahlano! Music & Art Festival: July 11With 8 stages and more than 50 of Vancouver’s top musical performers, this free outdoor music event will stretch across 10-blocks with a variety of food vendors, giveaways, and other activities.Symphony in the Park: July 12At the beautiful Burnaby Deer Lake Park, enjoy a program of light classics and popular favourites all presented by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.Hive Tours at Grouse Mountain: June 13 – September 14Follow the lead of an expert bee keeper and get a hands-on opportunity to experience and explore an active honey bee hive while learning more about these creatures and their integral part of our ecosystem.The 38th Vancouver Folk Music Festival: July 17 – 19The 38th Vancouver Folk Music Festival presents the world’s finest traditional and contemporary folk, world, and roots music artists in the urban seaside beauty of Jericho Beach Park. Honda Celebration of Light: July 25 – August 1The 25th Anniversary, this years event is a testament of the lasting relationship of the festival with three pyro teams: Team Chine, Team Brazil, and Team Canada.Caribbean Days Festival: July 25 – 26Kicked off by a multicultural street parade and stage performances, the festival reflects the diverse origins of Caribbean culture with a celebration of music, cultural entertainment, art, artisans, and a variety of ethnic food.

Calgary:

Calgary Stampede: July 3- 12Perhaps the biggest event of the year, this 10 day rodeo is filled with events, live musical performances, rides, and a variety of unusual food from tequila fries to a bacon wrapped pork belly.Inglewood Night Market: July 10Enjoy more than 50 clothing, artwork and food vendors in the Inglewood neighbourhood from tents and trucks that line the streets.The Big Four Dinner: July 12In homage to the beginning of the Calgary Stampede, the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant is hosting this dinner with a menu inspired by the 1900s.Milky Way Nights: July 23 to 25Stop by the University of Calgary’s Rothney Astrophysical Observatory to take a peek through one of their telescopes, ask the facility’s astronomers questions, and learn more about our solar system.2015 Calgary Folk Music Festival: July 23 – 26As the 36th annual folk festival, this year will include 70 artists from 14 different countries with headliners such as Patrick Watson, Shakey Graves, and Buffy Sainte-Marie as well as stand-up comedians, artisan booths, and a variety of food trucks.Calgary International Blues Festival: July 27 – August 2For the 11th annual Bluesfest, the line up includes iconic guitarist Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Vancouver’s The Harpoonish and The Axe Murderer and Grammy Award-winner Bobby Rush.The Calgary Fringe Festival: July 31 – August 8Inglewood is transformed into a walkable neighbourhood filled with multiple venues of film, dance, theatre, improv, puppetry, and any other type of show imaginable. 

Edmonton:

City Market Downtown: May 16 – October 12Peruse farm-fresh produce, locally raised meats, ready-to-go meals, wines, sweet treats or shop for handcrafted jewellery, art, and clothing at 104th Street.Edmonton International Street Performers Festival: July 3 – 12With more than 1,500 outdoor performances from musicians to jugglers, unicyclists, acrobats and more, this festival has been an annual event for more than 30 years.

Sourdough River Festival: July 12Enter a canoe or 2-man raft and participate in this water fight down the North Saskatchewan river or watch the fun from bridges along the way.A Taste of Edmonton: July 16 – 25Come out to sample cocktails, meals, and tasty dessrts from 61 different restaurants and food trucks all while listening to live music along the way.K-Days: July 17 – 26Experience 10 days of rides, skill testing games, treats, concerts with different headliners each night, and the colourful K-Days parade to kick off the event.Interstellar Rodeo: July 24 – 26Bring a lawn chair or spread a blanket out for the musical long weekend with bands, solo artists and more all while tasting European and Asian food trucks and eatery stalls.
